Diant Ramaj
Since the 2023/24 season, Diant Ramaj has been under contract with Dutch record champions Ajax Amsterdam. There, he gained valuable experience at the highest international level and developed both athletically and mentally.
In February 2025, he moved to Borussia Dortmund and was immediately loaned to FC Copenhagen. With the Danish powerhouse, he instantly won both the league title and the national cup. For the 2025/26 season, he returned to the Bundesliga to his boyhood club, 1. FC Heidenheim, where he is the undisputed number one between the posts.
His passion for football and his unwavering determination to keep improving are the keys to his success so far. For Diant, one thing is certain: “You always have to get back up!”
We had a short interview with Diant Ramaj. He talks about why he became a goalkeeper, how he can influence the final result as a goalkeeper and about his goalkeeper gloves.
As a goalkeeper, how can you influence the final result?
The best way is to keep all the balls, then you always play to zero. (laughs) But that’s impossible. With a good performance, you can also decide a game and help the team win.
Why did you become a goalkeeper?
I used to be a field player, but as a goalkeeper you were always something special. You are part of the team but still a lone fighter. I really enjoy being a little crazy in there and holding the balls.
What is especially important to you about your glove?
What’s important to me about my glove is that it fits well and has a good grip. But uhlsport has always done a very good job in that respect.
